That Music Sounds SoPhamiliar!

A blog dedicated to the mixes I make for the gym, parties, or whatever needs a awesome soundtrack. A lively mixture of tribal, progressive, and house dance music with a nice dose of uplifting and catchy vocals. A seamless mix of one great song after another.

About My Mixing...

Here are a few things I learned and incorporated into my mixing. In my travels throughout Asia and from living in Manhattan and San Francisco, I've learned that Asian boys who love dance music need a few things in their music:

1. About 130-132 beats per minute
2. Uplifting, catchy vocals in prime time
3. Not too many drops within the mix and if present they have to be spaced out
4. A great start to the mix and a big name artist by the fourth or fifth song (it's down to a science, right?)
5. No fillers in the mix--that means every song has to be good or great
6. I do consider harmonic mixing which considers the key of the song and the one I'm mixing into--it has to sound right, and of course precise beat mixing which means no galloping horses or train wrecks :-)

That's my formula for great work out or house party music!
